TF2: Revenge of The Fallen

It was confirmed already in the press conference that Transformers 2 will have a subtitle of it’s own called “Revenge of the Fallen”. The shooting has begin on June 2nd in Bethlehem, PA. So far the plot details are still closely-guarded without any traces of leak info around the net as crews are tight-lipped about what they know due to cautions made by Bay itself perhaps?

The most evident and solid info about the sequel is Jazz making its come back. Not sure how, maybe he was being resurrected by the Allspark. They did not own the full set of the Allspark as it was blown along with Megatron that eventually killed him but I believe the Autobots might have had traces or fragments that they have picked along during the aftermath of the urban battle against the Decepticons, or perhaps some other theories of resurrection methods that we fans might not know of.

Bethlehem Steel filming.

From the news feed, it was clear that many characters are going to be involved – new characters or maybe reused characters in terms of names and designs from the classic series is going to make space for the 20 something lineup (10 on each sides) for much meaner and bloodier battle.

Car fans who are non TF fans might fall for this sequel as there were tons of cars being featured. Among models that was leaked from the set while filming in Bethlehem was a black Audi RS601, a blue Chevrolet Corvette, Chevy Malibu in a form of a Chinese/Japanese police car (news claim it was Chinese, but the paintjob was in fact a Japanese style police paintjob), a Hummer HX modded to a NEST (Nuclear Emergency Search Team) vehicle, a red Acura NSX, a Can-Am Spyder Roadster and a pink ice-cream van(!!??) that was made by a twin Autobot (please don’t let that be Punch & Counterpunch!!?). Among others were Blackhawk, Apache, SR-71 Blackbird and a Chinese police helicopter.

That is a lot of vehicles for an opening scene, don’t you think so?? Not to mention Prime and his crew was also seen in the set.

In the recent exclusive interview, Michael Bay release this statement when he was questioned about the sequel ‘styling’ and this is what he got as a reply;

“You know how those sequels they do the second one so you go see the third one? [“Transformers 2”] is it,” he said, indicating that “2” would be its own story free from the duel shackles of set-up or resolution. “First one was just introducing, setting up stuff, so we can go a lot farther. Let’s just say [this] is not a lame sequel.”

If “Transformers” was all about introduction, then “Transformers 2” will be all about escalation, with reports that upwards of 20 robots will do battle in the blockbuster sequel. But for Bay, it’s not the number of robots present, but how they’ll be more fully and individually realized that has him excited, he said.

“The robots are going to surprise a lot of people because we go with a lot of different levels,” he teased.

Cast members still includes Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson. They will still reprise their roles, and newcomers Nina Dobrev, Ramon Rodriguez and Rainn Wilson from NBC’s The Office, will also join as newbies in the cast (there were many more actually).

This is going to be an exciting sequel after all, but I am really curious how they gonna slot in The Fallen in the whole plot as The Fallen was only made popular in Transformers comics and not in mainstream cartoon series in the past. What is his role and what is his significance in this sequel. That, we got to find out very soon.

So fans, keep Youtubing and I guess soon the teasers will be out to blow your minds (and mine too).
