British Fireworks Champion of Champions 2006 (D1)

This is today! A must see! Arghh *panics*. Wheres my batteries! *arghs*. Where the cam *arghs*. Stay tuned. In the mean time, check this out;

CJ & his crew gathered in my place around 7.45pm & it was freakin raining outside. It was supposed to be a sunny summer – season end at least & yet we have to endure this freakin cold rain that almost make me sick. It rained for another near 30minutes until Dave arrived. Around 8.30pm we walked & keepin our fingers cross so that we could reach at least to the town centre to take shelter just in case the downpour resume again.

When we reach the Hoe, it was already packed. There was a funfair on the promenade with the Ferris wheel, stalls, merry go round & all those kinda shit. We gathered on the west wing of the Citadel. It was packed. We approached the front of the Citadel facing Mountbatten, where the fireworks were launched. I was quite disappointed because I couldn’t find a place to shoot because the spectator in front us are unfortunately damn tall! All the size of Dave. *grrr*

It was all well luckily that it didn’t rained or else we all be drenched & worse for me, I be down with coughs for sure. Armed with my toy, my Canon Poweshot A95, I tune the settings using custom, shutter between range of 2″ – 4″ & aperture to f8.0. ISO I tuned to 100 so to prevent noise. the minus is I forgot the tripod & worse of all, the tall spectators wouldn’t let me ‘lend’ abit of the fortress walls for my arm to rest while shooting. So, I am shooting in a standing position – as still as possible. Damn it soared – the feet & the arms.

Anyway, I shoot 280+ & managed to salvage only nearly 50 good ones, & after short listing here are some of the show case. By the way this is day one, I definitely get better ones tomorrow!
