I Was Pimped!
Pimped by Evening Herald!!
For ya’ll who dunno what is Evening Herald, it was actually our local newspaper in Plymouth. My photos was pimped by them in the newspaper after I participated in their ‘campaign’ to get Plymothians to upload their masterpiece online in their website called “Making Plymouth Great“. Making Plymouth Great was a joint-collaboration between Evening Herald & two local Plymouth companies; TwoFour which was a TV production company & Goss Interactive, a leading IT company in Plymouth. Their site logo as below;
The aim of this website is to behave like an online digital time capsule archiving snapshots of what life is like in Plymouth. Plymothians are encouraged to upload their masterpiece in the form of images, movies & audios, old or new that could be uploaded online or submitted via MMS.
Prior to the launch of Plymouth’s National Enterprise Week at the Royal William Yard on November 14, the event will share the same tagline ‘Making Plymouth Great’. It was aimed to boost the economic growth of Plymouth & South West region as a whole via enterprising.
The site was launched on the 10th Oct, that was only four days ago & I have spent 3 hours uploading around 40 photos from my collection. I got the shock today when I flipped over to the Business Herald section only to find the whole page was featuring all six photos which was belonged to me. The editor managed to brief a little about the rest of the photos that I have uploaded in their website too by synopsis.
Some pics here from the paper cutting. Check this out;
