Transformers Revenge of The Fallen Convention in Queensbay Mall

Revenge is coming, and Penang was the host for the biggest Transformers convention in Malaysia this year. In 2007, Cineleisure in Mutiara Damansara became the witness of the first ever Transformers expo, and the Trans-mania kick-started from there.

For the period of two years after the first movie, Malaysians have been fascinated with Cybertronian factions known as the Autobots and Decepticons.

The craze go on, and not admitting defeat, Queensbay Mall transformed itself this year to welcome the sequel known as the Revenge of The Fallen promising much bigger expo. Excited of what’s coming, check these details out;

In conjunction with the launch of the movie, Queensbay Mall brings you the largest Transformers event in Malaysia. With over 1000 collectibles (provided by Transfans Malaysia), ranging from the little Legend Class toys to 6 foot Transformers will be on display for the public’s viewing pleasure.

There will be contest such as Win LG LCD TV, home theatre systems, mobile phones, “Guess & Win” and “Are You Hot Enough ‘Mikaela Banes’ look-a-like contest”. Test your wits and intelligence with our fun and exciting games held throughout the day. Participate in auctions for limited edition collectibles and premiums. Also, win movie tickets via Redemptions, Newspaper Cuttings (check out your local newspaper!) during the event.

There will be two fringe promotions, the first is win premiere movie tickets (starts from 17/6/09) for Transformers – Revenge Of The Fallen. The movie will start on 24 June 2009 (Wed). Register at 8pm, movie starts 8.30pm and the venue is in GSC, Queensbay Mall itself.

For those model wannabes here is your chance to have a glamour strut on the stage impersonating Mikaela Banes (Megan Fox) with Arcee and her motorcycle sisters in “Are You Hot Enough ?” the Mikaela Banes Look-A-Like Contest. The contest date starts on 27 June 09 (starts from 12noon till 7pm), at the drive way of the mall. If you missed the 27th, you can try on the 28 June 09 (starts from 1pm -3pm), located at the 1st floor, Centre Zone of the mall.

Registration for “Are You Hot Enough ?” the Mikaela Banes Look-A-Like Contest opens from now! Registration fee is RM30 ONLY. 50 early birds will receive a STAGE cash voucher + make up voucher + nail colour worth RM125. Subsequent 100 contestants will receive a STAGE lipstick + stage cash voucher + fashion voucher, total worth RM108.

The central of attraction will be the toy display with diorama re-enacting a scene from the movie. Transfans Malaysia (TransMY) with a workforce of 25 strong will man the operations of providing visitors the feel of what is like celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Transformers legacy with arrays of Transformers action figures ranging from Generation One to the current toyline, Revenge of the Fallen of course!
