3 Days of Blackout
Nothin much to do during my Pt.2 leave. So I unboxed Blackout and took shots of him for 3 days starting the 15th, 17th & finally 19th. Honestly speaking, most fans adored leaders like Megatron more than henchmen, but in my case Blackout standout as the most interesting and well-developed character in the movie though being just a small-role playing henchmen.
Thats why I so damn wanna own him as being one of the biggest badass frying up SOCCENT in the movie which was darn cool.
The name is Out, Blackout!
I had always been fascinated with transforming copters in the Transformers realm, but other characters from other line just suck. Characters suck and the toy suck as well, be it G1, G2, Machine Wars, and Armada. Only recently, copterbots had evolutionise to become much better in terms of design and transformation sequence where Blackout being the best in my opinion.
BO & all his glory
Nuff of recap, and let see how toy BO compared to his movie counterpart reigns far. BO’s alternate mode was based on a real USAF’s MH-53 Pave Low IV (aka HH-53 “Super Jolly Green Giant”); a heavy-lift type helicopter manufactured by Sikorsky, redeveloped from it’s predecessor the CH-53 Sea Stallion. MH-52 copter is still in active duty till this day running routines in Afghanistan and Iraq. The copter costs USD40 million a unit!

The toy is a voyager size around 7 inch tall and this dude’s motto is “He who cares for the opinions of others is lost” which I think is pretty much correct. His tech-spec’s says;
Blackout is the largest of the Decepticons. Most often seen looming silently over the right shoulder of Megatron he is his leader’s hound. He pursues relentless efficiency, allowing nothing to stop him in his task. Those who defy him beware: his rage knows no bounds. He will fill the air with fire and burn the land clear to take his revenge. Paired with his minion Scorponok, he is a dangerous and a deadly foe.
Pairing BO with Scorponok seems like a mismatch duo as the pair are teamed for the sake of one desert op as both deosn’t seem to be related in character and alternate mode wise.

Definitely an awesome piece.
If I would have rate him in review sections, BO definitely deserve an 8.5 out of 10. If you are avid fan of the Movie or the toy, Blackout is a definitely must get. He is kitbashable to many other forms, and soon there’s a redeco/remould of him into a goodie Autobot called Evac.
He will stand posing on my shelf for sometime now until I decided to box him again!
