Long Sunday
Lonnngggg..Sunday with an ill throat & crappy nose.
So how long is my Sunday 25/6/06:
- Whitsand Bay, Freathy picnic from 10.30pm – 2.30pm
- England vs Ecuador match, in Roundabout pub from 4pm – 5.45pm
- Dinner & cinema – watched Tokyo Drift in Barbican Leisure Park. 6pm – 11pm
Freathy: The village that Jack freaked.
We went to Whitsand Bay, Freathy again this morning. Yeah, it was a freaky morning around 9.30 am. I only have 2 & half hours sleep, so you could imagine how my physique is like…half dead. But did managed have a good time though. Instead of taking the bridge we use the ferry via Torpoint this time. So the journey was cut short for half hour. As usual there were alot of commuter on both sides of the ferry – to Plymouth & to Torpoint.
The transporters that transports, its slow & sluggish maybe 10-15km per hour?
Our cruiser to the other side.
Avid picnickers.
Reached there around 10.20am. The weather was okay, it was supposed to be sunny (yes its sunny when we arrived). We dwelled on the same spot that we had last time again & again. I bet this had became our favorite spot as agreed by many.
The dung infested makeshift parking lot that cost £2 that Antonio complained.
The picturesque on the Sunday morning. Church by the beach anyone? LOL.
Ivy danced in awe. Reaction from the suntan cream maybe?
Gina doing her make up?
After settling our stuffs, we took a mile stroll along the beach up to the east end of Whitsand Bay. I never been to the very end as it was quite far, but to my surprise there were few Lifeguard lookout station, rescue station, surfing classes & a bar with public toilet.
Liked this one.
Chilly waters. Stroll for warm ups before a swim.
Surfing class in progress for minors around 8-12 years old. Look leftwards.
The east end of Whitsand Bay where facilities are abundance.
Ivy & CJ was caught by currant while swimming with Dave. Since Dave was better equipped, he had to get them out of there. It was freaky that CJ was terribly shocked, & it was no joke. Even in shallow waters the current is strong enough to drag some out out in the middle. That why drown cases occurs even in shallow waters. Is nature that we are dealing with that’s the thing.
We had to make a quick getaway when the weather suddenly became dark & cloudy. Since going back to the car park need quite a hike, we hurried just in case if the downpour was instantaneous. Plus we need to reach Plymouth before 4pm to catch the football match where England will stand against Ecuador.
I decided to watch in Roundabout pub, the one nearest to my place, opposite the Uni. Had a pitcher of lager while enjoying the atmosphere.
Beer anyone? Empty stomach & beer – not a very good combination.
CJ – Optimistic
Me – England forever. No. Hokkien lang forever. No.1 lampapalan fan.
The same plasma.
The yob & hooligans.
England scored!
Ecuadorian goalie was beaten…Come ON ENGLAND.
Rooney give his captain a hug.
The day end up with a dinner at Barbican Leisure park & a movie session with the guys. We chose to watch Tokyo Drift as that is the only movie in the listing that day that won us. It was heavily hyped by the media, so I am pretty curious to see what’s installed for us.
The review for the movie will be the next blog.
